I recently stayed at Aloft New York Brooklyn, primarily due to its proximity to Barclay's Center for an event. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were fairly friendly. although my room left a bit to be desired. While it was reasonably sized and included useful amenities like a fridge, the stained carpet and musty smell were definitely off-putting. The location itself is great for getting around Brooklyn, but the experience overall wasn't amazing.

Rooms
6.0
The room was an adequate size, equipped with two double-beds, and had a quiet atmosphere yet the stained carpet and musty smell were major downsides.
Service
6.0
The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, but I expected a bit more attention, especially being a Bonvoy member.
Location
8.0
Conveniently situated near public transport, making it easy to access locations like Barclay's Center and Brooklyn Museum.
Dining
5.0
I didn't have breakfast here, but there were limited food options in the lobby, and the noisy Japanese restaurant upstairs provided mediocre food further decreasing my dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities were lacking, with issues like discolored water from the faucet and a TV connection problem that took time to resolve.

I had a mixed experience at Aloft New York Brooklyn. The location was great, close to subways which made exploring easy, but I faced some issues with my room, including heating problems. The staff was friendly overall, especially Ashley at the front desk, who went above and beyond to help me out. However, the hotel felt a bit overpriced for what it offered, especially with ongoing construction nearby.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and modern, but it was freezing the first night, and I struggled to get the heating fixed promptly.
Service
9.0
The staff were nice and helpful, particularly Ashley, who made my check-in experience a breeze despite my earlier booking error.
Location
7.0
The subway access was super convenient for exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan, but the neighborhood felt a bit rough with nearby construction.
Dining
5.0
Dining options within the hotel were limited, relying mostly on quick snacks at the counter, but there were decent restaurants nearby.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were okay, but the tiny pool and workout room left a lot to be desired. The rooftop bar was nice for our last night, though.

My stay at Aloft New York Brooklyn was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, making it easy to navigate the city, but the noise levels were quite disruptive during the night. I appreciated the friendly service from the staff, especially at check-in, but the overall value for the price didn't feel justified.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and modern, albeit a bit small. I had trouble finding space for all my belongings, which was frustrating. Soundproofing worked at times, but street noise still seeped in, especially at night.
Service
8.0
The staff were cheerful and offered great service, particularly Josie at the front desk who helped with an early check-in. However, my interactions were overshadowed by the chaos outside that seemed unaddressed.
Location
8.0
Located near several subway lines, making it easy to explore Brooklyn and Manhattan. I felt safe walking around, though the area quieted down at night, adding to the party atmosphere near the hotel.
Dining
5.0
Dining options in the lobby were limited and not particularly appealing. I wished there were more options or better quality available on-site.
Facilities
6.0
Amenities like the lobby space and complimentary snacks were decent. yet they often felt crowded, which detracted from the experience.

My stay at Aloft New York Brooklyn was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic for hopping onto the subway and exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan, but the room's lighting was quite dim, making evenings a bit uncomfortable. While I appreciated the modern decor and friendly staff, I did have some reservations about the housekeeping policies and some of the amenities. Overall, I found it to be a reasonable option for a city visit, but there are areas for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a cozy layout that utilized the space well, but it was noticeably dark due to the lack of overhead lighting. I could hear light noise from the adjacent room, but it wasn’t too disruptive. However, cleanliness was an issue, as I noticed dust and stains on the bedding.
Service
7.0
The front desk staff were fantastic, always friendly and willing to help. However, the housekeeping situation could use more clarity regarding the Green Choice program, which left me confused about the service I could expect during my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly situated close to multiple subway stations, making it super easy to get into Manhattan or explore Brooklyn. The nearby Brooklyn Bridge was just a short walk away, which was a big plus. Local dining options were also plentiful, with lots of good restaurants within walking distance.
Dining
5.0
While there were good dining options in the vicinity, the complimentary breakfast in the lobby left much to be desired for the price point. It felt quite basic compared to nearby eateries offering better options that I would have preferred.
Facilities
6.0
The facility had a modern vibe with lots of lounge space to relax, but I missed having a microwave in the room, which would have helped store and heat leftovers. The lack of a basic item felt a bit off given the overall standard of the hotel.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, which helped, but certain issues need to be addressed for a better stay.
